Kodiak Island is famous for it's salmon. Pristine lakes and rivers surround the entire Island supporting strong runs of all five salmon species. Island Seafoods has our own fleet of fishermen who deliver their catch directly to our processing facility or to one of our Salmon Tenders. Once at Island Seafoods, the salmon are filleted, vacuum sealed and flash frozen to capture the flavor.
Wild Kodiak Sockeye Salmon is harvested from the pristine waters of Kodiak Island’s West-side bays and inlets. Delivered directly to Island Seafoods by
our tender vessels, Kodiak sockeye salmon are filleted and flash frozen to lock in and preserve the fresh taste.
Sold by the each, whole fillets weigh 1 to 1.5 lb each.
Characterized by deep red flesh, firm texture and robust taste, “Reds” are easy to grill, and present beautifully when served to the table. Minimal preparation, with a hint of lemon or soy, enhances their full, salmon-ey flavor.
Your order will ship frozen in an insulated box with gel ice packs, overnight from Kodiak using FedEx “Standard Overnight” delivery. Your order should arrive frozen, but partial thawing is possible and natural. Simply place in the freezer.
Orders must be placed Thursday before 5 p.m. for Saturday delivery. Saturday deliveries are an additional $35. For Hawaii add $35.
