BERING SEA SNOW CRAB
Island Seafoods is proud to announce the arrival of 2013 Bering Sea Snow Crab harvested aboard the F/V Nuka Island. Bering Sea Snow Crab, are caught in the cold, stormy waters of the north western Bering Sea, near the Pribilof Islands. Also known as Opilio Tanner, these crab are smaller than their cousin, Bairdi Tanner harvested in the bays around Kodiak Island.
After making the nearly 1000 mile journey back to Kodiak Island, Bering Sea snow crab are cooked and frozen to lock in their sweet flavor. These bright orange legs are full of sweet snow white meat, perfect for parties and large gatherings.
Bering Sea Snow Crab are available in sections weighing on average 5-8 ounces each (3 sections per pound)

Even though our Kodiak Snow Crab is handled with great care, these delicious sections of crab sometimes break.
